Roller Skating, Super Bowl, & A Hangover; Los Angeles, CA

What a weekend! I am just now, today, starting to function like a human being once again. I feel like an atom bomb exploded in my body yesterday and I was hurting, baby, just hurting. Of course, I completely and totally earned that feeling though..much like an idiot does...

A bunch of us went out on Saturday night to a roller-skating party here in LA. Amanda, Huffy, AlFX, and many others were part of the crew that partook. Now, people, you really haven't lived until you have taken care of a few vodka crans and then hit the rink for a bit. I only completely ate shit one time, but still have the hip remnants of a nasty bruise. "It only hurts when it's cold..." Haha...

At any rate, we partied the night away until around 1am or so and then decided to head out to an after party at a friend's apartment. We continued to abuse our bodies there for a while, probably around 5am or so, before we all finally headed back to Huff's place in Beverly Hills. At this point, the boys somehow thought it was a good idea to launch into another round of drinks and play some cards...which we did until about 8am... Poker News

For the love, we were like a three-headed monster from hell. It was good times though and every now and then you just have to tie one of like that. It is a moral imperative...

Sadly for me though, I was forced to sit and watch, what I think to be, the greatest Super Bowl ever alone...violently ill...at Huff's house...alone...while all my friends cruised to a bar where we had all rented a table to watch the game. There was a zero percent chance that I was going to be leaving the house at any point that day. Easily a top 5 all time hangover for me, no doubt about it. What can I say? I earned it...

At any rate, it was so sick to see New York pop the Patriots in the mouth last night. New England fans have now joined a very select group of fans (the others being Yankee fans and Lakers fans) that I will always root against. You just can't be that arrogant and expect good things to happen. The Gods don't like it...not one bit...

It did my little heart good to watch New England lose in such heartbreaking fashion.

On a side not, I am always reminded of the joke from Bill Cosby's "Himself" comedy special where he never understands why people will go out and get drunk, make themselves sick, and do it all again the next weekend. Luckily for me I don't do it every weekend, but I had that joke running through my head all day yesterday...mocking me really. Ha!

Holler at you kids soon...

peace,
J
