PokerRoad Hex?; Las Vegas, NV

EugeneToddBro texted me today and told me that he thought someone had put a hex on PR, as so many of us are doing so poorly at this year's WSOP. He told me that he was going to see someone and "get it taken care of", and I have utmost faith that ETB will know what needs to be done, and also that he will get it taken care of. I look for things to start looking up after this weekend...

Another tournament today where it was prom night and I was the virgin. It was quick as could be, and I was completely unsatisfied. I picked up 88, 1010, A7clubs, 910clubs, and lost each pot. I then had about 2500 chips left when I picked up AK. I raised it up to 300, was reraised and I stuck the rest of my meager stack in, facing pocket Jacks. I bricked out, and that was that. I guess I could always lengthen my stay in these tournaments, but as I have said before, I'm looking to build up chips, not outlast 70% of the field and make no money.

I saw a couple of movies the other day, just to get myself out of the Rio. "The Strangers" and "The Happening" were the subjects of the day. "Strangers" was slightly scary and will definitely make you sweat it a little if you live out in the woods, or in a more rural area than I do, for sure. It was decent. I'll say that...decent. "Happening", on the other hand, was one of the most silly films I have ever seen. I mean, this movie was incredibly bad. I usually dig Shyamalan's movies, but this one was just way off the target and came off as completely campy, rather than creepy or interesting. Pretty disappointing to me, as I always love and am inordinately absorbed by apocalypse films. Poker Videos

That's about all I've got for you, my peeps. I made a commitment to not go out, not drink, and really just focus on work and online poker for the Series this year, so I'm keeping it pretty purposefully boring to be honest with you. It's not exactly helping my results, so I may have to change things soon and head out for a night of complete debauchery, just to shake things up a bit. We'll see...

Sorry for my blogs sucking so much here at the WSOP. I just haven't felt inspired to write about much, for obvious reasons, and don't want to subject you all to bad beat and bustout stories every day. Trust me, that will get old real fast to read...

It's gonna pick up though, baby! Derrek Lee and Aramis Ramirez just hit back-to-back jacks against the hated Sox to tie the game at 3-3! It's a turning point!

peace,
J
