Bay Area, Here I Come...Again!; Los Angeles, CA

Oh man, I am heading up to the Bay for some much needed rest...or at least as much rest as I can squeeze out of my time up there. I am, sadly, an extreme workaholic...or really just extreme in whatever I am doing...so even though I am trying to take a "vacation" up in Berkeley this week, I know it won't end up that way. Still, it'll be nice to get up there and relax...

Going to the Cal football opener this weekend with Ali, as well as all my buddies who live up there currently. Should be a great time, as there are few things as fun as Cal games in the early Fall. I also have never been to one with Ali before, so that should be an experience within itself. I'm going to try to get him to drink 4 Red Bulls and see if his head actually physically detaches itself from his body... Poker Radio

Then, the following weekend I'll be going to all the Dave Matthews Band shows at the Greek Theatre, also in Berkeley. I haven't seen a show there in probably about 8 years, so it should be pretty amazing. The Greek is an unbelievable place to see a show, so it shouldn't disappoint. It'll be interesting to see how it all comes together as this will also be my first show since seeing them a week or so ago the night of LeRoi's passing...we'll see...

If you are going to the shows in Berkeley, stop by Henry's on Durant and have a drink before you head up. I'm sure that's where I'll be spending my afternoons before the shows start next weekend...

That's all I got for you kiddies! Oh, the Bike tournament was brutal for me! I busted in the first level and just got smashed in the face pretty continually. I picked up too many big hands too early and every one of them I lost, so there wasn't much chance of me doing very much here in LA. I had Aces, Kings, Queens twice, Ace-King, and flopped two pair...and lost every hand. Bang, bang, bang! It wasn't pretty...

peace,
J
