"Poker Tonight" on FOXsports, hosted by SCOTT HUFF
Congrats guys (thanks to Airnick for posting this)
Seebs keeps teasing it on the broadcast but was waiting for Huff.

We’ll be hosting a sort of ESPN poker “SportsCenter” on Fox Sports. We’re pretty excited about it. We’re going to start filming in about a week and a half and it’s called “Poker Tonight.”
It’s going to be airing four times per week. We’re really excited about it. The whole point is to take advantage of the way we look at poker and we’re getting a cool shot to do it on the small screen.

Why wouldn't they get someone with a more likeable face?

Isn't that why Lacey Jones and Dana Workman are involved?

Unfortunately, acc. to the commercial for this thing, it's presented by UB.net. I should have known....

I'm heading back to LA soon, to get ready to prep and shoot our new show, "Poker 2Nite", next week, which debuts this coming Wednesday night on FSN. It's an incredible opportunity and it's pretty sick of UB to have the faith in us to put up the money to sponsor the show. I just hope we can come through with the same success that we have been able to create at PokerRoad.com.
|
...and immediately when I heard about the show, I had already assumed it was a time-buy/UB sponsored scenario, especially with little to no poker shows out there anymore without sponsorships mostly from online sites

Yeah although it was never stated, I also assumed it would be UB sponsored. Will Huff be covering himself on TPB?

Didn't know that it was a secret UB sponsorship. guess I knew about it from the first time i heard about the show.
Should be great fun and I think Seebs and Huf might be the right guys to run a successful poker news show. Seems like poker on TV is slowly growing less popular. Final table ratings are down from last year acording to pokernews.com but maybe this show will get more people watching poker.
