It’s Here! The 2010 World Series of Poker
May 28, 2022
And so it begins, the first bracelet event of the 57 that comprise this year’s World Series of Poker kicks off in mere hours, setting off a chain reaction of tournaments, prop bets, side games, exhaustion, absurdity and joy, not to cease until only nine players remain in the last, most crucial event on July 17th.

There’s nothing like it in all of poker, and arguably- depending on how you define it- nothing like it in all of sports, with players often coming from over 110 separate countries just to prove they belong among the elite of the game.

Throughout its storied 41-year history, the WSOP has awarded well over $1 Billion in cash, and handed out 792 bracelets, each symbolic of a player at the top of their craft.

The World Series of Poker is not just the series that players wait for all year, it’s also the event that all of poker media prepares for from the moment that last one ends, and just as the rest of the poker media world is now converging at the Rio and its new twin tournament rooms, so to is PokerRoad.com, with live podcasts, news, tweets, blogs and videos straight from the heart of the action.

The initial offering of many from PokerRoad, will appropriately enough be a brand new PokerRoad Radio featuring Jeremiah Smith, Friday May 28th.  The episode will be the first of a series, with plans set to do four a week until the lights come down mid-July.

The World Series of Poker in many ways is a creature all its own, and just as we have over the last few year’s, we’re going to jump on, grab it by its short-hairs, and attempt- however futilely- to tame the beast, while all along bringing our friends, fans and family, along for the ride.

The 2010 World Series of Poker- with the exception of the Main Event final table- runs from May 27th through July 17th, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.  For more details on specific events visit www.wsop.com,
