"Ante Up For Africa" Hits The European Poker Tour
April 15, 2022

PokerStars.com, the official sponsor of the European Poker Tour has announced they have added an "Ante Up For Africa" event to this season's EPT finale in Monte Carlo, according to a recent post on the EPT website.

This EUR4,000 buy-in tournament will be similar to the ones held every year during the World Series of Poker.  The event will feature top celebrities in sports and entertainment, big name poker pros and exciting poker action, but most importantly will raise money to benefit charities that help survivors of the atrocities in Darfur.  All prize money from the event will go to this important cause, though the winner of the event will receive a special prize package for the highly popular PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

Some of the players expected to compete in the "Ante Up For Africa" tournament on April 27th include Boris Becker, Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso, Annie Duke, French rugby star Sebastian Chabal, Italian striker Christian Vieri, Spanish footballer Poli Rincon and French rap star Bruno Lopes (a.k.a. Kool Shen).
