EPT Grand Final Starts Tomorrow
April 27, 2022

The last event of Season Five's European Poker Tour, presented by PokerStars.com, begins tomorrow and already over 500 players have paid the EUR10,600 entry fee to compete in the Grand Final, the most esteemed event on the EPT calendar.

Last Year's EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final attracted 842 players and had a total prize pool worth over 8 million euros (almost $11,000,000 USD).  The winer of the event was Glen Chorney, who won EUR2,020,000 after surviving a final table that held, among others, Isaac Baron, Luca Pagano, Michael Martin and Antonio Esfandiari.

Before the start of this year's event, many tournament goers will participate in the EPT's first ever "Ante Up For Africa" charity tournament, which just like the WSOP version, will feature top poker players and high class celebrities competing against anyone willing to "Ante Up," for numerous charities dedicated to helping the people of  Darfur.

The EPT Grand Final is scheduled to begin its first day 1 tomorrow at noon, Monte Carlo time (3 a.m. PST, 6 a.m. EST).

Some of the players expected to compete in this year's EPT Grand Final include Greg Raymer, Joe Hachem, Annette Obrestad, Boris Becker, Liz Lieu, World Series of Poker Main Event Champion Peter Eastgate and PokerRoad's own Daniel Negreanu.
