Kiss Smacks The Competition At HPT Majestic Star
April 28, 2022

David Brian Kiss, a past martial arts champion from Michigan, took down the most recent Heartland Poker Tour event at the Majestic Star Casino in Gary Indiana.  Kiss had satellited his way into the event for $250 and walked away with over $125K.

The final player Kiss defeated, Brian Brenneke, also got into the event playing a $250 satellite, which he decided to enter on the spur of the moment once he saw how large the prize pool for the event was growing.  Brenneke parlayed his $250 into $64,307, partially thanks to his Poker VT membership, which he specifically credited later as a key component for improving his game.  Daniel Negreanu's Poker VT is a major sponsor of the HPT.

In total 452 players competed in the Majestic Star Casino's HPT Championship creating a total prize pool worth $431,712.

The Majestic Star Casino Heartland Poker Tour "Top Six" were as follows:

1st.  David Brian Kiss- $128,614

2nd.  Brian Brenneke- $64,307
