EPT Grand Final, Day 3 Done
May 1, 2022

After nearly eleven hours of Day 3 poker in Monte Carlo, were down to only 31 players for the European Poker Tour Season 5 Grand Final presented by

More than 100 players hit the rail today, and although many survived long enough to at least cash in the event, more than a handful were forced to leave before the money bubble could pop, including poker icon Marcel Luske, who had the unfortunate distinction of being today's Grand Final bubble boy.  Other players unlucky enough to come up just short of the cash include Nenad Medic, Sorel Mizzi, Lee Nelson, Joe Hachem and Ilari "Zigmund" Sahamies.

Pros who cashed but still saw their tournaments come to an end before the day wrapped include Farzad Bonyadi (EUR22,000), Phil Laak (EUR25,000), Luca Pagano (EUR31,000), J.J. Liu (EUR35,000), Joe Ebanks (EUR35,000) and Alexander Kravchenko (EUR40,000).

The final 31 players (out of an initial 935) are now within striking range of some real money and will also have a chance of being featured in front of the EPT LIVE cameras, as the rest of this event will be streamed for broadcast and beamed around the world to a select few privileged internet sites, like  Some of the players to look for during that live stream include Dag Martin Mikkelsen, John Cernuto, Alain Roy, Johannes Strassmann, Annette Obrestad and US player and current chip leader, Matthew Woodward.
