Durrrr Challenge Changes; Antonius Widens The Gap
May 5, 2022

It's that time again, to check in on the epic 50,000 hand online poker battle between Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Patrik Antonius.  It has been about a month and a half since the PokerRoad News Department last checked in on the "Durrrr Challenge," and it appears that although the numbers have changed, the leader has not.

According to recent reports from sites like CardPlayer and DurrrrChallenge.com, Full Tilt Poker pro Patrik Antonius, not only still leads in the "Durrrr Challenge" but at the moment leads by close to a half million dollars, after a little more than 13,000 hands dealt.

Antonius currently has Dwan stuck $488,133, which although significant in a real world way, is still a fairly minor lead in a game that regularly sees $150k pots.

If the "Durrrr Challenge" continues at its current rate, it will still be about three months until players reach the half way mark, and around 216 more days (roughly) until the winner is known.  At that time (somewhere around Christmas), if Antonius still holds the lead he will win $1.5 million for the $500,000 he initially wagered.
