May 21, 2022

The ten stop 2008/2009 World Series of Poker- Circuit season wrapped up yesterday, with one last final champ claiming a coveted gold WSOP circuit ring at the Harrah's Hotel and Casino, New Orleans.  Jean "Prince" Gaspard, a professional poker player from Chicago, took down the final championship event, thanks in part to a three-way deal struck between Gaspard and his final two opponents Billy Kopp and Ken Christopher.

The fairly standard deal, based on chip stack sizes at the time, officially earned Gaspard the New Orleans Championship title, along with a seat into the 2009 WSOP Main Event, $161,175 in walking around money and of course the aforementioned ring.

The final table finish positions for the $5,150 buy-in WSOP-C Harrah's New Orleans Championship were as follows:

1st.  Jean Gaspard- $161,175*

2nd.  Billy Kopp- $123,837*

7th.  Justin Allen- $31,958

8th.  Kenny Milam- $25,966
