Customers of the popular non-US player gaming site bwin.com, have recently become the targets of a "phishing" scam, intended to steal their sensitive and personal information (account data, passwords, credit card numbers, etc.), according to a recent article from GamingIntelligence.com (www.gamingintelligencegroup.com).

Apparently "phishers," have contacted numerous customers of the site through emails which appear to be from bwinpoker, encouraging them to visit the site and enter a raffle.  When the customers click on the active link in the email they are actually directed to bwimpoker, a phony but realistic appearing site used to steal information.

Moderators at the Pokerroom forums (a forum for many bwin customers since the site was shut down by bwin earlier this year) have announced they are aware of the issue and are investigating the fraudulent site.
