WASSUP '09: Amateur Mike Eise Closes Out Event #28

The most recent $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold 'em World Series of Poker Event (#28) wrapped up yesterday, with Missouri's Mike Eise taking down the bracelet.

Eise, an Amateur player with no other major tournament cashes on his poker resume, outlasted a total field of 2,638 players to claim his first victory, including many well known pros like JC Tran, Kristy Gazes, Amarillo Slim, Kathy Liebert, Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler, Jason Potter and Eugene Todd "Bro." 

Of all the pros in attendance Potter fared the best, making it all the way to the final four before finally busting to eventual runner-up, Jeff Chang, who sealed Jason's fate with a pair of tens and forced him to settle for a $185,444 cash.

For Eise's first place finish he secured a top prize worth $639,331.

The final table finish positions for Event #28 were as follows:

2nd.  Jeff Chang- $392,494

3rd.  Adolfo Ramirez- $261,963

4th.  Jason Potter- $185,444

5th.  Barry Berger- $139,353

6th.  Zachary Fritz- $111,266

7th.  Avi Braz- $93,622

8th.  Jose Franco- $83,180

9th.  Michael Zulker- $77,778
