WASSUP '09: Naalden Makes His Mark In Event #38

Marc Naalden is the 40th Annual World Series of Poker's newest first time bracelet winner, after ending up the last man sitting during yesterday's Event #38- $2,000 buy-in, Limit Hold 'em Day 3.

Only 45 players were able to earn a share of the $811,720 total prize pool (generated by 446 entrants) and Naalden earned the largest chunk of it, nearly $200K, by outlasting a final table that held two previous WSOP bracelet winners, Ralph Porter and Ian Johns. 

Other players to make the money in Event #38 included Alexander Kravchenko (35th), Rafael Furst (19th), Daniel Negreanu (26th) and 11-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth (17th).

The final table finish positions for Event #38 were as follows:

1st.  Marc Naalden- $190,770

2nd.  Steve Cowley- $117,902

3rd.  Ian Johns- $77,576

4th.  Tam Hang- $54,182

5th.  Alex Keating- $39,977

6th.  Danny Qutami- $31,088

7th.  Jared O'Dell- $25,439

8th.  Jameson Painter- $21,819

9th.  Ralph Porter- $19,594
