Faraz Jaka, Faraz Jaka, Rules The Room
July 17, 2021

Day 3 of the World Poker Tour Bellagio Cup V, saw the fall of many great players as well as the rise of one awfully impressive stack.

Faraz Jaka, after one of those fairy tale type days you only read about, found himself at the end of the session sitting with 3,214,000 in tournament chips, about 2,000,000 more than his closest opponent and nearly 4 times more than the average for the remaining 31 person field.  Jaka, who was also one of the chip leaders after Day 2 (with around 520,000), undoubtedly yielded his big stack well but there's no denying that he was running good too, not only did he successfully crack both Aces and Kings but he made quads, twice, in two consecutive hands, according to live updates provided by the WorldPokerTour.com.

Meanwhile, players that were eliminated during Jaka's amazing day include Justin Bonomo, Phil Hellmuth, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Erick Lindgren and PokerRoad's Jeff Madsen.

Players still alive but with some serious work to do before catching up with Jaka include Freddy Deeb, Alexander Kravchenko, Erik Seidel, Vivek "FLOG" Rajkumar and PokerRoad's Kevin Saul, who won this very event two years ago when it was still the Bellagio Cup III.

Day 4 of the Cup begins again at noon, Pacific Standard Time, when these and the rest of the 31 surviving players will play into the money, all while desperately trying to duplicate Jaka's Day 3 fortune.  For more information including live updates, chip counts and videos from Amanda Leatherman visit www.worldpokertour.com.
