Perrins Prevails At IPT Venice

Manchester, England's Matt Perrins, recently claimed the largest payday of his still burgeoning young career when he was the last man standing of a 439 player starting field in the PokerStars Italian Poker Tour- Venice.

Perrins earned a top prize worth EUR200,000 (about $288,000 USD) and outlasted such well known pros as Marcel Luske, Dario Minieri and Vanessa Rousso, who according to updates provided by, bowed out in fourteenth place despite entering Day 3 with a top five chip stack.

Following Perrins in the runner-up position was Sweden's Johannes Sodastrom, who earned a still impressive EUR120,000 for taking second in the IPT's most successful event thus far.
