PokerListings Founder Killed In Sweden
August 6, 2021

The Poker Media World lost another friend and comrade earlier this week when Andreas Oscarsson, founder of the popular poker news site, was found shot and killed in his bed Monday morning, while on holiday in Trollhattan, Sweden.

According to the story, which can be found at, few details on the shooting are known however Swedish paper The Local (, did report that authorities believe the crime- currently being considered a murder, may have been witnessed by Oscarsson's two-year-old son, who was travelling with Andreas at the time.  Other relatives were also apparently in the house at the time of the shooting but none of them are presently considered suspects.

The 36-year-old Oscarsson, was not only considered a tough and savvy business man and a good poker player but also a friend to many, both in and out of the poker community, and will truly be missed.  Our hearts go out to PokerListings and Andreas' countless friends and family.
