August 7, 2021

Those visiting jolly old England next week and perhaps looking for a game, may want to consider playing in the Jamie Gold Charity Poker Tournament for the unique opportunity to beat two World Series of Poker Main Event champions while donating to a very worthy cause.

The Jamie Gold Foundation Charity Poker Tournament, going down on Thursday, August 13th, is a ?500 buy-in (technically charitable donation) No-Limit Hold 'em poker tournament that will start players off with 7,000 in tournament chips.  The event will be capped at 50 players, with 40 of those seats going to the general public and the other ten being saved for numerous poker and mainstream celebrities like Gold, Peter Eastgate, TV's Michael Greco and football's Teddy Sheringham (that's English football, not American).

Numerous prizes have been donated for the event including an EPT seat worth ?5,200 donated by Poker Stars, a ?3,000 Unibet Open Package, a Gresham Blake Tailor Made Suit, custom chip sets, watches and poker tables from some of the top manufacturers in the world, and many other interesting prizes to be awarded by choice, with the winner of the event picking first, second picking second and so on.

This event is a major part of this year's, free admission, Poker in the Park Festival in Leicester Square, London- August 13-14 and is sure to raise a significant amount of money for the Jamie Gold Charity Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money for numerous charities including The Michael J. Fox Foundation, The Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Montell Williams MS Foundation.  People wishing to donate to these causes will be able to make donations straight to the foundation during the event, just in case they don't have time for the poker.
