Rumor Central: ESPN And WSOP, Together Until 2018
August 17, 2021

No official announcement has been made, and none is expected until at least tomorrow, but according to a recent article from Fox Business quoting unnamed sources, ESPN has signed a new seven year contract with Harrah's Entertainment, guaranteeing the World Series of Poker a television home until at least 2018.

Obviously full details of the agreement have not been released, but according to the story ESPN is encouraged enough by past ratings to feel confident about the future of WSOP programming, despite this season's slight overall ratings slip (down 8% in the first three weeks).
