WPT Legends Starts Saturday And WIth It So Returns PokerRoad Radio
August 21, 2021

The World Poker Tour's Legends of Poker $10,000 buy-in Main Event, begins tomorrow at LA's recently remodeled Bicycle Casino and PokerRoad Radio will be there to bring you live shows straight from the heart of the action.

The Legends Of Poker is not only traditionally one of the best tournaments on the WPT calendar, and one of the oldest- being part of the WPT since its first season- it is also one of the infamous events where our Commander and Chief, Joe Sebok, earned one of his painful "seventhboks," meaning PokerRoad has some serious unfinished business with this particular competition.

Last year's Legends of Poker attracted 373 entrants and awarded a top prize worth $1,091,428.  The event was taken down by John Phan after he defeated PokerRoad's Amit Makhija heads-up, and as such only added to PokerRoad's need for payback.

Other past champions of the Legends include Dan Harrington, Joe Pelton, Mel Judah and Doyle Brunson.

This year's event will begin Saturday at 3p.m. PST, and features 90 minute levels and blinds that start at 50/100.  Each player that enters the event will begin with a "triple stack," 30,000 in tournament chips.

For more detailed information on the World Poker Tour Legends of Poker visit, and for the insiders view of what it's like to compete in one of these world class tournaments, check out PokerRoad Radio live from the Bike, starting tomorrow (8/22/09) and running every night until play reaches the final table.
