Begleiter Leads At The Bike After Wild WPT Weekend

After two days of play in the World Poker Tour's Legends of Poker at the Bicycle Casino, Steven Begleiter, a 2009 World Series of Poker "November Niner," currently leads a final group of 73 that includes top pros like Daniel Negreanu (36th), Greg "FBT" Mueller (25th), Nick Schulman (14th), Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler (56th), Prahlad Friedman (2nd) and PokerRoad's Bryan "Devo" Devonshire (5th).

Begleiter, who also lead after Day 1, currently sits at 426,100 in tournament chips, close to four times the field average.

279 players entered this year's Legends of Poker tournament, enough to create a total prize pool worth more than $2.6 million and a first prize valued at $1,034,500 ($1,009,000 + $25,500 entry to WPT World Championship). 

Players eliminated during the first two days of play include Kristy Gazes, Carlos Mortensen, Haralobos Voulgaris, "the Bear" Barry Greenstein, Amit Makhija, Hoyt Corkins, Kathy Liebert, Kevin Saul, Layne Flack, Allen Cunningham, Jeff Madsen, Vanessa Rousso and PokerRoad President Joe Sebok.
