Players Move Down The Street For The APPT's Macau Main Event
August 25, 2021

With the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Macau officially over after the crowning of Adrien Allain last weekend, it's time for tournament grinders to move on to something completely different- the start of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Macau.

The HK$40,000 (aproximately $5,150 USD) buy-in Asian Pacific Poker Tour Macau main event, presented by PokerStars, is the opening APPT event of Season 3 and began yesterday with the first of its 3 day ones attracting 119 players.

Among those Day 1a players sat numerous top pros like Grant Levy, Eric Assadourian, James Akenhead, Shawn Buchanan, David Steicke, Vivek "FLOG" Rajkumar and two-time World Series of Poker Main Event Champion, Johnny Chan.

Johnny and the Flog (sounds like a bad 80's cop drama) were unable to survive the first difficult day, however the other aforementioned pros were, and will join the 55 other Day 1a survivors again, once Day 1b and 1c are concluded.
