August 27, 2021

World Series of Poker bracelet winner Prahlad Friedman took down the 2009 World Poker Tour Legends of Poker main event yesterday, earning his first WPT title, a $25,000 entry into the WPT World Championship and a little over $1,000,0000 in cold hard cash.

Prahlad outlasted a tough final table that held fellow WSOP bracelet winner Toto Leonidas as well as professional players Todd Terry, Mike Krescanko, Sam Stein and WSOP 2009 Main Even Final Tablist Kevin Schaffel.

Schaffel outlasted over 6,400 players to reach poker's most prestigious final table last month, and yesterday in an amazing example of playing the rush, Schaffel nearly outlasted the entire 279 person WPT Legends of Poker field as well, making it all the way into heads-up play before finally ending his run for a second place cash worth over $470,000.
