Day 2 In Macau
August 28, 2021

The 196 survivors from the three Day One heats of the 2009 PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau main event, came together again yesterday for Day 2, to continue their attempt at a top prize worth more than a half million dollars.

Many well known pros were in attendance at the start of Day Two's play, but as often happens very few were still around by the time tournament directors gave the order for players to bag their chips and head home for the night.

Some of the players eliminated during the crucial day were Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Grant Levy, Eric Assadourian, Celina Lin, James Potter, Raymond Wu, David Steicke, Stewart Scott, David Saab and the Hachem brothers, Joe and Tony.

Of course a few known players were able to survive the brutal day of action, that ended with only 42 players still at the tables, and as such they are now guaranteed a portion of the HKD$16,130,400 total prize pool, some of those survivors were David Chiu, Van Marcus, Theo Tran and Shawn Buchanan.
