PokerStars Signs Joe Cada
August 28, 2021

Joe Cada, one of the nine final players in this year's World Series of Poker Main Event, just scored a sponsorship deal with PokerStars, the biggest online card room on the planet, officially joining an impressive team that already holds Daniel Negreanu, Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker and PokerRoad Poppa Barry Greenstein.

Cada, who will enter the WSOP Main Event final table in November with the fifth largest chip stack, will represent PokerStars along with Eric Buchman and Kevin Schaffel, who recently took 2nd in the WPT Legends of Poker event at the Bicycle Casino.

Unlike in previous year's, landing a plum sponsorship agreement with a company like PokerStars was by no means a given for Cada, despite making poker's most prestigious final table.  New WSOP rules stipulate that companies can now only sponsor up to three people at one final table, forcing sites like PokerStars to cherry pick only the most likely candidates to win, especially if they want to continue their impressive streak which currently stands at sponsoring four of the last six WSOP world champions.

In a recent statement released from Cada's new Management company, Top Set Player Management, Cada had this to say about this new opportunity:

"I'm proud to have been chosen to represent PokerStars.  Their reputation and prestige are second to none.  I look forward to bringing even more accolades to their already decorated team."  -Joe Cada, 2009 WSOP Main Event finalist

Along with representing PokerStars at the WSOP Main Event Final Table this November, with this new agreement Cada will now also have the opportunity to represent the company at the countless other big buy-in tournaments, that PokerStars sponsors around the world.
