Antigua And Barbuda Get Their Money, Well Sort Of
December 28, 2021
The World Trade Organization has decided to award Antigua $21 million in trade sanctions annually, as a result of them winning their case against the United States.

Although $21,000,000 is nothing to sneeze at, it pales in comparison to the 3.4 billion they were requesting. On the other hand, $21 million is significantly better than the $500,000 that the U.S. had felt was fair. Antigua has earned the right to receive the $21 million by ignoring U.S. copyright and intellectual property laws, which has left many U.S. businesses quite concerned with the WTO's ruling.
