Hellmuth Expands His Role With TASER Foundation For Fallen Officers
September 3, 2021

UltimateBet pro Phil Hellmuth, was recently honored with not only the opportunity to host November's Hold 'em for Heroes charity poker tournament but also to sit on the CEO Advisory Council for the TASER Foundation, the non-profit corporation that annually puts on the event.

Hold 'em For Heroes, a three-day charity poker event starting November 19th, will be held at the Fort McDowell Casino in Arizona and is expected to attract numerous well known pros who wish to show their support for the worthy cause.  Last year's event attracted such top players as Clonie Gowen, Layne Flack and PokerRoad's "rappin'" Jeff Madsen.

"Over the last several years, and especially ever since 9/11, my respect for policemen, firemen and the people who protect us has risen higher and higher," stated UltimateBet's Phil Hellmuth. "Our 'Hold 'em for Heroes' charity poker tournament gives money to the Fallen Officers Foundation, which supports officers and the families of officers who were killed in the line of duty. My friends and I are grateful to these brave men and women and we're proud to help out."

The TASER Foundation for Fallen Officers, since 2004 has worked to help the families of fallen law enforcement officers in the United States who paid the ultimate price to protect and serve its citizens.  The organization has to this date awarded over $2.29 million to these families, much of that thanks to direct donations and charity events, which Hellmuth as a member of the CEO Advisory Council will now play an intimate role in helping to organize.

"With Phil now lending his passion, talents and name in helping to guide the TASER Foundation as part of the new advisory committee, we'll all benefit even further.  The TASER Foundation, and the families of officers killed in the line of duty, have come to know Phil for his big heart and his commitment to seeing that the service of these officers is forever honored. We are grateful to Phil for his ongoing support, and look forward to his expanded role within our organization."  -Kathy Hanrahan, CEO Taser Foundation
