Daniel Kelly Claims A WCOOP Title

Distinguished online poker pro Daniel "djk123" Kelly earned his first World Championship Of Online Poker title early this morning in Event #2, the $215.00 buy-in Limit Razz.

Kelly was the last man standing of 1526 starting players including top pros like Chris Moneymaker, Mike "Timex" McDonald, Vanessa Rousso, Greg Raymer, Matt "plattsburgh" Vengrin and PokerRoad's Barry "the Bear" Greenstein.

Of all those pros, Vengrin faired the longest against Kelly, lasting all the way into heads-up play before finally accepting the second place cash worth $38,150.01. 

By defeating Vengrin in the maddening game of Razz, Kelly earned the lion's share of the $305,200 total prize pool- $53,410.01.

The final table finish results for Event #2 of the 2009 PokerStars World Championship Of Online Poker were as follows:

2nd.  plattsburgh- $38,150.01

3rd.  SebbyGl- $28,994.01

4th.  grampabumkin- $21,364.01
