Toth Wins The Slovakia
September 8, 2021

Richard Toth, a Hungarian poker pro already with more than $800,000 in live tournament winnings, recently earned yet another large payday, when he successfully outlasted 100 other players to win the new World Poker Tour Slovakia main event.

With only 100 runners, this EUR4,900 buy-in tournament, held in the Golden Vegas Casino in Bratislava, easily broke the WPT record for the least amount of entrants in a WPT event but the victory was still significant, as Toth did outlast numerous top pros like Gus Hansen and Alec "traheho" Torelli, the latter of whom also made the final table but was only able to secure a 4th place finish.

For the win, Richard Toth earned over EUR100,000- about $145,00 USD.

The final table finish positions for the WPT Slovakia main event were as follows:

1st.  Richard Toth - EUR104,000

2nd.  Boris Zeleny - EUR66,000

3rd.  Sasa Stencic - EUR42,000

4th.  Alec Torelli - EUR31,000

5th.  Peter Traply - EUR25,000

6th. Marec Tater - EUR20,000

With the WPT Slovakia tournament now concluded, attentions have turned to WPT Cyprus, already under way and needless to say with quite a few more players than could be found in Bratislava.
