Thomas Bichon Merits Praise At WPT Cyprus Event
September 14, 2021

France's Thomas Bichon, became the World Poker Tour's newest champion over the weekend, outlasting 181 total players at the brand new WPT Merit Cyprus Classic.

Bichon earned a top prize worth more than a half million dollars for his initial $10,000 + $300 buy-in, easily the biggest score of the young players career and with little doubt the most impressive, especially given the competition in the field included top pros like Nenad Medic, Huck Seed and PokerRoad's own Layne Flack.

The final table finish positions for the World Poker Tour Merit Cyprus Classic were as follows:

1st.  Thomas Bichon- $579,165

2nd.  Uri Keidar- $380,645

3rd.  Steven Fung- $216,275

4th.  Rep Porter- $121,115

5th.  Janar Kiivramees- $90,835

6th.  Rony Jazzar- $73,535

With one of its newest International events now decided, the World Poker Tour has left the beautiful Mediterranean island of Cyprus and is headed to its next, equally unique destination, Atlantic City, New Jersey, home of the $3,500 buy-in Borgata Poker Open (9/19-9/24).  For more information visit
