WPT Borgata Final Table Set
September 24, 2021

With much of the poker world's attention firmly focused lately either online- for the PokerStars WCOOP- or across the pond- for the World Series of Poker Europe- it has been perhaps too easy to overlook all the action going on at the World Poker Tour's Borgata Poker Open, but with their final table now set and nearly $2.2 million still on the line, it would be foolish to continue to do so.

A WPT record setting 1,018 players, originally signed up for this year's reduced priced ($3,500) Borgata Poker Open, enough to create a total prize pool worth $3,359,400 and a first prize worth $925,514.

Many top pros chose to compete in this massive Borgata event including David "Chino" Rheem, Michael Binger, Kathy Liebert and  PokerRoad Radio's Gavin "the Caveman" Smith, but few were able to make much of a dent in the massive wall of players struggling to reach the coveted final table.

The six players that did make that final table are now each guaranteed at least $156,000- as well as some precious TV time- but all but one of them can't be feeling all that great about their chances, as the table chip leader, Olivier Busquet, currently sits with nearly double the chips of his nearest competitor.

The final six players of the 2009 WPT Borgata Poker Open, and their current chip stacks, are as follows:

Olivier Busquet- 10,350,000

Yanick Brodeur- 5,780,000

Ivan Mamuzic- 5,655,000

Jeremy Brown- 5,480,000

Keith Crowder- 2,750,000

Kenny Nguyen- 600,000
