WSOP Europe Main Event: Down To 36
September 30, 2021

Of the 334 players that started this year's World Series of Poker Europe Main Event only 36 remain, yet within that group of 36 players- now comfortably in the money- sits an amazing group of potential headline makers.

Not only have the final four tables of this event been set with seats waiting for two members of this year's "November Nine"- Antione Saout and James Ankenhead- numerous other marquee players are still in as well including chip leader Matt Hawrilenko, Daniel Negreanu, Liz Lieu, Men "The Master" Nguyen, Steve Zolotow, Christian Harder, Doyle Brunson and Yevgeniy Timoshenko, fresh off his win at the PokerStars WCOOP Main Event.

Yesterday's Day 3 began with 92 players and it's remarkable that so many top names have made yet another day's cut, however many- including our two past WSOP Europe Main Event champions- were not so lucky.  Some of the players that were sent home during Day 3 include John Juanda, Annette Obrestad, Antonio Esfandiari, Freddy Deeb, Todd Brunson and WSOP Europe Event #3 bracelet winner Jani Vilmunen.

Day 4 play at the WSOP Europe Main Event is already underway and is set to continue today until this year's final table has been determined.  To follow all the action check out PokerNews.com for live updates, the PokerRoad Nation for live tweets, and PokerRoad Radio, to hear from a bunch of certified live ones.
