Six Left In PKR Heads-Up Grand Slam
October 9, 2021

Day 2 of the inaugural PKR Heads-up Grand Slam tournament saw the final 16 invite-only players knocked down to six.

Players that competed today and won their matches include Tony G who beat Sandra Naujoks, Vladmir Geshkenbein who beat Brahim Hajji, David Steicke who busted John Duthie, James Sudworth who defeated Massimo Mele, Ian Frazier who took out David "Devilfish" Ulliot, Lex Veldhuis who folded Luke "Fullflush" Schwartz, Juha Helppi who crushed Vicky Coren and Alec Torelli, who made Antonio Esfandiari disappear.

With all second round matches completed, Day 2 of the PKR Heads-up Grand Slam also featured two third round matches featuring Geshkenbein and Sudworth, knocking out Steicke and Veldhuis.

Tomorrow's Day 3 will now focus on the final 6 players and will according to theory play down to a PKR Grand Slam champion.  The winner of the event will earn $120,000, but perhaps more importantly, they will be able to claim bragging rights having outlasted some of the best online and live players, in one of the absolute purest forms of poker.
