Benza Booted From High Stakes Poker
October 12, 2021

Rumors of A.J. Benza's GSN demise, do not appear to have been exaggerated.

According to Benza's own blog at www.benzaneat.blogspot.com, the popular cohost known to banter with TV's Gabe Kaplan throughout TV's biggest cash game, will no longer be appearing on High Stakes Poker, giving way instead to a new and substantially more feminine presence.

In the blog, Benza confirmed the rumors that have been swirling around poker forums over the last month, that GSN's beloved poker show will continue on for a sixth season without Benza sitting across from Mr. Kotter, though Benza did imply he could possibly return for the seventh season, if things don't work out with the new host.

High Stakes Poker, a televised high roller cash game which in the past has featured such top players as Daniel Negreanu, Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Gus Hansen, Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey and our own Barry Greenstein, thanks in part to A.J. Benza, has been one of GSN's top rated shows since nearly its inception over five years ago.
