October Awesome For Annie And Ante Up For Africa
October 14, 2021

Ante Up For Africa, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for Africans in need, has two big events coming up this month, each featuring celebrities, great prizes and Co-founder Annie Duke, once again competing on the felt for her favorite worthy cause.

The first and smaller of the two events takes place this week, October 16th, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's new poker lounge in Las Vegas, during this year's Blogs With Balls Conference.

Blogs With Balls, is the name of a series of gatherings which attracts top media professionals and sports bloggers, for panels, exhibits, get-togethers and meetings, to learn how better to utilize all of today's new media opportunities.

This most recent Blogs With Balls, thanks to sponsor CarbonPoker, is being capped off by the 100-person Ante Up For Africa tournament, which features not only Annie playing but also past NBA star Jalen Rose and numerous top writers from ESPN, Fox Sports, Yahoo and Sports Illustrated.

Once that tournament has been completed, Annie will be able to focus on the next, significantly larger San Manuel Ante Up For Africa event, which is set to take place on October 29th and is already looking like it's going to raise huge numbers, thanks in large part to San Manuel once again agreeing to donate $500,000 to the cause themselves.

The San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino, located less than two hours from Los Angeles, is likely to not only attract many of us regular poker lovers but also top, mainstream celebrities, who last year were more than willing to make the short drive, for all the fun and personal satisfaction that always seems to result from an Ante Up For Africa tournament.
