The second starting day of the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Auckland Main Event, attracted another 128 players to the New Zealand Skycity Casino felt.  Add that number to yesterday's starting 135 and you end up with a total field of 263 players and a total prize pool worth NZD $789,000 (about $590,100 USD).

First prize for the event, has thus been determined to be worth NZD $209,085, a prize which yesterday was battled for by such top pros as Tony Hachem, Eric Assadourian and Tony Dunst.

Dunst was eliminated from the event around the end of the  difficult day, along with 65 others, leaving only 62 players to join Day 1a's survivors for Auckland's Day 2.
