Warsaw Day 1b
October 21, 2021

Runners from the second and last day one flight of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Warsaw main event sat down to play recently, finally giving organizers an idea of the prize pool they'll be working with for the rest of the week.

115 players showed up on Day 1b of the EPT Warsaw, creating a total field of 203 players and a total prize pool worth 4,770,500 PLN (or about $1,721,000 USD).  That many players puts the money bubble between 24th and 25th place, with the 24th finisher earning 28,620 PLN and 25th receiving bubkis.  The winner in Warsaw is currently set to earn 1,493,170 PLN (about $538,000).

Day 1b saw the elimination of another 31 players, meaning 148 will return on Day 2 including today's survivors like Sorel Mizzi, Shaun Deeb, Mel Judah, Scotty Nguyen, Dario Minieri and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, who despite currently nursing a pretty small stack of about 13,225, is sill always a viable threat, especially if he can double up early tomorrow.

The chip leader from today is Frenchman Anthony Lellouce, who ended the day with 131,475 in tournament chips, significantly more than his nearest opponent Alexander Klimashin (105,650) but still way less than the Day 1a chip leader Carter Phillips (194,850).
