PokerStars Announces Another New Tour
November 3, 2021

PokerStars, the online poker behemoth behind the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT), the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT), the Russian Poker Tour (RPT) and of course the immensely successful European Poker Tour (EPT)(not forgetting the Italian Poker Tour and Czech-Slovak Poker Tour), has decided it may be time for (you guessed it) another major poker tour and this week announced the start of the UKIPT, a.k.a. the PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour.

The first season of the UKIPT, which begins this December in Galway, Ireland, will start strong with nine featured events from as far North as Scotland, to as far South as Brighton, England.

The events will feature smaller buy-ins than its EPT big brother, with numerous main event entries as low as ?500+?50 (or about $900 USD).

The championship event of this new tour- which winners of the smaller events will automatically gain entry to- will take place in London in October, as part of the EPT London ?5,000+250 main event, an event that regularly generates top prizes worth more than a million dollars.
