The Bad Beat On Cancer Challenge
November 4, 2021

Poker players with an altruistic nature, or just those interested in playing some cards for fun and prizes, should consider entering next week's Bad Beat On Cancer Challenge on PokerStars, for a chance at winning some truly unique stuff while helping those in need.

This $10 rebuy online poker tournament, will not feature a cash prize pool as all the proceeds will go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation- a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help with cancer prevention and early detection through research, education and community outreach.  However, players in the event will have a chance at 50 very special prizes which could be even more valuable, ranging from poker instruction from such top players as Daniel Negreanu, Jamie Gold, Vanessa Rousso and the guys from 2 Months, 2 Million, to non-poker related outings with the likes of Phil Gordon (a round of golf) and PokerRoad's Joe Sebok and Gavin Smith (drinking in Vegas).

This exciting event is being held in honor of Nicole Rowe, the runner-up finisher in the recent Borgata Ladies Event, who came up second to the one male opponent in the field.  Nicole, who was hoping to use the first place cash prize to help offset the costs of her ongoing struggle with breast cancer, inspired many pros when news of her story hit the press and is largely responsible for so many in the poker world donating so much for this important event.
