Registration Now Open For Bad Beat On Cancer Challenge
November 10, 2021

Players hoping to take part in this week's $10 buy-in, $10 rebuy, Bad Beat on Cancer Challenge, now have the opportunity to sign up on PokerStars.

The event, which can be found under the "Private" tab, in the "Tourney" section of the PokerStars lobby (tourney #210990483), is offering an unusual prize pool; instead of taking money from the buy-ins and rebuys, all the prizes have been donated, allowing all the money collected from the event to go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation, an organization dedicated to cancer prevention and early detection through research, education and community outreach.

There are over $24,000 worth of unique prizes for this $10 buy-in event, ranging from training sessions from top pros like Daniel Negreanu, Tom Schneider, Vanessa Rousso and all four guys from the G4 hit show, "Two Months, Two Million," to one of a kind life experiences like playing a round of golf with a top pro, or kicking it at a Vegas hotspot with PokerRoad's own Gavin Smith and Joe Sebok.

The plethora of prizes for this special event are partially a result of the outpouring of emotion towards Nicole Rowe, a cancer patient who recently made headlines when she came in second place in a Borgata Ladies Event, by losing to the only man in the field.  Nicole was hoping to take down the Borgata event in order to earn enough cash to help pay for all the supplemental expenses involved in fighting her disease and when news of that got out, along with the word that she was foiled by a guy angle shooting, just so he could play in a field he probably perceived as soft, many top pros wanted to do something special.

Thursday's Bad Beat on Cancer Challenge will be played in Nicole's honor and will begin at 9:00 PM/ET.

For more information, including a full list of prizes, check out the Bad Beat on Cancer page, which can now be found at PokerStars.com.
