Cada Already Exercising Ambassador Skills
November 11, 2021

Joe Cada, just days after winning poker's biggest prize at the 2009 Word Series of Poker Main Event final table, has already begun his work as an important representative of the game we love.

Though just 21-years old, Joe is already getting noticed by the mainstream media not only as a talented poker player but as a thoughtful, well-spoken pro, capable of discussing the tough issues in a significant way.  One case in point, in a recent article on Time Magazine's website (www.time.com), Cada spoke out for the legislation of online poker.

"I support the right to play poker online. Poker isn't gambling. It's a hobby, an activity, a game. It's not about luck -- it's about logic, decision-making, math. We all should be able to play poker on the Web if we want to, and I believe that making it illegal strips us of our rights. This is an important issue, and hopefully we'll see it resolved soon."  Joe Cada (11/11) Time.com

According to Cada's representation, Top Set Player Management, this Time article is just one of numerous media opportunities Cada will be involved with over the coming months, including possible appearances on both popular daytime and late-night television.

Though most likely currently overwhelming for the new young champion from Michigan, such extensive positive coverage could do wonders in the long term, not only for Cada, or for PokerStars- the online poke site he now represents- but for the poker world in general, as we continue to fight for increased recognition, respect, and rights.
