LAPT Starts Again
November 19, 2021

Season Three of the PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour began today at the beautiful Paradisius Playa Conchal Resort in Costa Rica, with 259 players taking to the felt.

Less than half of that starting field still had chips by the end of the day's play, leaving only 121 to return again tomorrow.

Many known players chose to compete in this $2,500 buy-in main event including Jean-Robert Bellande, Humberto Brenes, J.C. Alvarado and Victor Ramdin, ironically with Bellande, as the one non-survivor of that group.

Those 121 players remaining all still have a shot at the LAPT Playa Conchal top prize now determined to be worth $172,095, with chip leader Rob Woodcock, currently holding the best chance of them all with over 145,000 in tournament chips.  Interestingly enough, Woodcock has been here before, as the LAPT Costa Rica Day 1 chip leader back in 2008 as well (eventually finishing in 9th place overall).
