Latin American Poker Tour Crowns A Canadian

The first event of Season Three of the PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour, Playa Concha,l concluded over the weekend with Canada's Amer Sulaiman claiming the top prize. 

Sulaiman outlasted a total field of 259 players to earn the $172,096 top prize, including established pros like Humberto Brenes, Alex Gomes and Maria "Maridu Mayrinck, who was able to last long enough to cash in the event but not long enough to surpass 24th place.

The final table finish positions for the 2009 PokerStars LAPT Playa Conchal were as follows:

1st.  Amer Sulaiman - $172,095

2nd.  Sol Bergren - $100,492

3rd.  Rogelio Pardo - $61,551

4th.  Eric Levesque - $45,221

5th.  Francis-Nicolas Bouchard - $32,660

6th.  Darren Keyes - $26,380

7th.  Carlos Giron - $20,098

8th.  Patrik de Koster - $13,818
