The Poker Players Alliance (PPA), the organization dedicated to protecting the rights of American poker players, has taken a big step recently to assure that all US players' rights are focused on equally. The PPA has announced that they will be selecting State Directors for all 50 states, who will serve as conduits between the people in their local areas and the PPA as a whole. These directors will not only represent their states, bringing to light specific local issues that may otherwise have been overlooked, but will also be able to help grow the PPA in a more targeted way through recruiting and local organizing. It is hoped that these Directors will be able to help keep the nearly million member strong PPA, grounded and always cognizant of threats to individual poker players' liberties.
