The Poker Beat Nominated For Best Poker Podcast; Joe And The Bear Also Get Nods
December 8, 2021

Bluff Magazine recently announced the nominees for their 2009 Readers Choice Awards and it appears PokerRoad content is once again in the running.

The Poker Beat, hosted by Scott Huff, John Caldwell and a panel of some of the most in-the-know poker journalists in the industry- not surprisingly- made Bluff's short list of nominees for the 2009 best Podcast/Radio Show, this year competing against such other big shows as ESPN's The Poker Edge, Hardcore Poker Radio and the TwoPlusTwo Pokercast.

The Poker Beat was the only PokerRoad show nominated for that category, however Joe Sebok- PokerRoad's preeminent leader- was personally nominated as well for, Favorite Poker Twitterer- a new category in this year's competition.

Sebok will be competing against three poker legends in that bracket, Doyle Brunson, Erik Seidel and his own father, PokerRoad's Barry Greenstein, who together have over 20 WSOP bracelets, yet Sebok still has to be seen as one of the favorites in this particular category as he currently leads the poker world with over one million Twitter followers, a feat so impressive that his sponsoring site- is hosting a special $5 tournament, with $24,000 in added prizes, just to commemorate it.
