Rumor Central: Korfman Kerfuffle Leads To Bellagio Banishment
December 15, 2021

Tony Korfman, tournament poker rounder and author of Texas Hold 'em: Tournaments, Cash Games, & Embarrassing Social Gas, was recently booted from the Bellagio after an incident at the tables apparently lead to Korfman literally choking a player, until security pulled him off and escorted him from the premises.

The incident, which took place during a Bellagio 2nd chance $1,000 re-buy tournament, perhaps would have gone largely unnoticed if not for a post on the TwoPlusTwo forums from PokerRoad's own Bryan "Devo" Devonshire that Korfman responded to, after reading posts claiming he began choking the player after bubbling in the tournament:

"i did not bubble. said punk bubbled then slammed his stack toward the guy that won the hand. punk was pissed because guy rivered him with a gutterball. then he had the balls to question weather the guy had him covered with part of his chips in the pot, part on the floor and part in the guys stacks. i then mother ****ed him for being a prick and chaos ensued. i always defend the dealers, floormen and players that dont defend themselves. these types of punks should have been spanked when they were a kid. actually im sorry i didnt pants him and take him over my knee. that would have been a great lesson for him. tk"

Although technically true that Korfman still had chips during the incident, his removal from the Bellagio effectively bubbled him from the tournament regardless.

For more information check out tonight's (12/15) PokerRoad Radio as the topic, and Devo's eye witness account, is almost certain to come up.
