World Series Of Poker Announces New 2010 Schedule
December 18, 2021

The schedule for the next big dance, the 2010 World Series of Poker, was released today by Harrah's and once again it left interested players with lots to talk about.

This year's series- despite a still ailing economy- will again feature 57 events as it did last year, however 8 of those events will cost only $1,000 to enter (including the Ladies and Seniors events), a result no doubt of last year's amazingly popular $1,000 buy-in, so called "Stimulus Special."

Despite the many new $1,000 buy-in events though, this year's series also has many nosebleed high events including a new $25,000 buy-in six-handed No-Limit Hold 'em event, and the $50,000 Players Championship- a.k.a the The Chip Reese Memorial Tournament- which this year features 8 games instead of the regular 5 and will have a final table where only No-Limit Texas Hold 'em is played, allowing it to once again be easily covered by ESPN.  This year's Players Championship will kick off the series on May 28th- the same day as the Casino Employees event- taking the place of last year's $40,000 buy-in, 40th Anniversary tournament.

The 2010 Series will, as expected, again end with the traditional $10,000 buy-in No Limit Hold 'em Championship Main Event, with Day 1 starting on July 5th and the final table once again concluding in November.
