The 2009 Cake Poker Gold Card promotion came to an end recently, with online player "Jotun665" claiming a top jackpot valued at $52,000. 

Jotun665, a california resident and mid-stakes shorthand player- according to his recent interview in the Cake Poker blog- was able to finish off his year in a big way by collecting the most full decks of Gold Cards, cards which are given to any cash ring game player on Cake Poker, regardless of stake or level. 

The successful promotion that made Jotun665's holiday so bright, is being continued in 2010 with $50,000 in cash rewarded to players every month, and to start those players off strong, this month Cake is giving away double the cards until January 9th.
