PCA Day 1A Shows The Potential Of 2010
January 6, 2022

The first big poker tournament of 2010, the European Poker Tour PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, began today at the Atlantis Resort & Casino, with 668 players signing up to play.

The event as expected brought out numerous established pros, including basically the entire fleet from Team PokerStars, and many of those pro chose this first starting day to begin their individual PCA assaults.

Some of the pros that began today included Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu, Marcel Luske, Vivek Rajkumar, Huck Seed, Gavin Smith, Kevin Saul and Amnon Filippi, who like the others mentioned above, survived the day but in his case did so in grand fashion, ending with over 220,000 in tournament chips.

Some of the less fortunate pros who busted during the first day of play included Greg Raymer, Shaun Deeb, Antony Lellouche, Chris Moneymaker and Jason Mercier.

The chip leader by the end of play was Wayne Bentley with nearly 330,000 in tournament chips, or more than ten times the 30,000 chip starting stacks players began with at the beginning of the day.
