Fallsview Casino Poker Classic Rolls Along As Gavin Grabs A Title
January 12, 2022

The three-event Fallsview Poker Classic, at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is currently in full effect and has already not only seen a significant turnout, despite this year being unaffiliated with a major tour, but also quite a few known players in attendance including PokerRoad Radio's Gavin "Birdguts" Smith, who last night took down the $2,500 buy-in, multi-day event, for a first prize worth $188,743.

Gavin earned that prize by outlasting a total field of 276 players, and by surviving a grueling 19-hour final table, which included a drawn out heads-up confrontation between Smith and Narinder Khasria that featured multiple lead changes, before Gavin was finally able to lock things down at around 6AM ET.

The final table finish positions for the 2010 Fallsview Poker Classic, $2,500 buy-in event were as follows:

1st.  Gavin Smith- $188,743

2nd.  Narinda Khasria- $94,371

3rd.  Siamak Soleimanian- 47,186

4th.  Mark Zajdner- $37,749

5th.  Aadam Daya- $25,795

6th.  James Nixon- $21,391

7th.  Jason Dupuis- $17,616

8th.  Haroon Sakhizadah- $14,470

9th.  Buck Ramsay- $11,954

With the conclusion of the $2,500 event the Fallsview Poker Classic today (1/12/10) moves on to the final $5,000 event, which our boy Gavin is reportedly also competing in- despite basically no sleep the previous night.
